Your guests sip beverages and nibble on hors d’oeuvres on our patio while you take photos with our fairways as a backdrop. Then you can gather afterward for a tantalizing buffet or plated dinner prepared by our superlative chef.

When you book your reception with us, our food and beverage manager and our professional staff will be available to assist you in every way possible, answering any questions you might have and offering suggestions to make coordination of your special day easier. Whether your reception is formal or informal, we will assist you in selecting the perfect arrangements for you and your guests.We can also help you with hosting your rehearsal dinner or offering a Sunday brunch the day after your wedding for overnight guests.

We offer banquet services for up to 120 people. For smaller groups, we can accommodate your event in the dining room or on the patio which seats 60 people comfortably overlooking the greens.

The Terrace on the Green Restaurant is a large spacious, open room with a broad expanse of windows that overlook the plush golf course during the day and capture the breath- taking sunsets in the evening.

In addition to these pre-planned menus, our food and beverage and special event manager, Bill Murray will be available to plan and write specific menu offerings for your special event. Whether you have in mind a specific style of food, a theme you want to follow, or simply a dish that is a personal favorite, please feel free to inquire about creating customized offerings for your wedding.

When you book your reception at the Terrace on the Green, we provide incredible services as part of your wedding package. Here are just some of those important extras and details:

•Personalized planning from our staff.
•Choices from a variety of designed dinner menus.
•Special prices available for children attending your reception.
•Customized menus for guests attending with special dietary needs.
•Exclusive use of our dining room.
•Use of outdoor patio overlooking the plush golf course.
•Convenient parking for your guests.
•Use of our clubhouse for your photographs as well as photography on the course, provided that golfers are not disturbed.
•A large dance floor for music and dancing.
•Microphone for speeches.
•Fully air conditioned dining areas for the comfort of your guests in warm weather.
•Host bar or a cash bar depending on your preference.
•White linens for guest tables, the bride and groom table, all service stations, cake table, gift table, and   sign–in table.
•White skirting for head table and service tables. (8-foot foot tables only)
•Tables and chairs for groups of four, up to eight guests at each table, for a total of 120 guests.
•China salad plates and dinner plates, silverware, coffee cups, water glasses, wine glasses for up to 120 guests.
•Wait staff and bartenders for your reception; this includes setup, and clean-up time.

Enjoy excellent local wines at your event

The Saugeen Golf Club features Ontario wine. We offer Pelee Island wine, from a winery located in Kingsville, just 30 minutes from the Ambassador Bridge between Windsor and Detroit. Pelee Island Winery has had great international success and has won national and international awards since 1979.

Pelee Island Winery can also provide free personalized labels for 750ml. bottles of their wine, when wine is purchased through their company for your reception. Saugeen’s food and beverage manager needs two month's notice to provide your personalized label design. 

 

Also available are imported wines.

Here are some policies and procedures you need to know about for your event:

•Final number of guests and choices of menus
•We require notice of the guaranteed number of your guests 14 days prior to your wedding or party.
•Your dinner menu and wine selections must be selected one month before the event.
•Except for weddings cakes, the Saugeen Golf Club, must supply all food and beverages served on our  premises.

Liquor laws

The Saugeen Golf Club is a fully licensed establishment and only licensed to sell liquor, wine and other alcoholic beverages on its premises. We can offer a host or cash bar for your convenience.

Our club discontinues bar service at 1:00 a.m. Entertainment should cease at that time, in order to vacate the premises within 30 minutes.

Payment procedures --A $300.00 room rental plus G.S.T. is required, when you book your date. This amount will be considered as a deposit for your reception. This deposit will be refundable only when canceled four months prior to the event. Your deposit is applied toward the bill at the time of the reception.

Full payment is required on completion of the event, unless otherwise arranged in advance.

Rentals
All rental items will be ordered through the Saugeen Golf Club’s food & beverage manager. The rental costs will be added to your final billing.

The Saugeen Golf club is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.We cannot be responsible for the damage of outside equipment, decoration or rental items brought in by the customer or rental companies for use at a specific event.

Wedding Officiant

Confetti and rice 
We ask that no confetti or rice be used throughout the building or anywhere on the property.

Photography
Your photographers can make use of the grounds outside the clubhouse, providing they are not interfering with the golfers.We ask you to notify us of the specific areas that you would like to use.

Taxes and Gratuities
All food and beverage menus are subject to 8 percent PST, while alcohol beverages are subject to 10 percent PST and 7 percent GST. A 15 percent gratuity charge is also applied to your bill.
